 Birds of Grand Bahama
February 20-22, 2009
We will depart Ft. Lauderdale on the morning of Friday February 20, for our boat trip to Grand Bahama.  This is about a 4-hour journey which should yield some good pelagic birds.  Once arriving on Grand Bahama, we will get our rental vehicle and check into our motel.  Once this is done, we will search for all of the Bahamas specialties as well as seeing many wintering warblers.  The next two days will be spent looking for any specialties that we missed on our first day.  We will be able to bird about half a day on Sunday before returning our rental vehicle and boarding our boat back to Ft. Lauderdale.  The trip back should yield some more pelagic species, perhaps new ones that were not seen on our first trip.  Meals will be eaten in local restaurants, we may be able to pack lunches for our days in the field.
